Administrative History	Opened in 1897 as a parish church serving parts of Stockport and Bramhall (formerly in StockportSt. Thomas parish). Between 1995 and 2007 the parish was united with Stockport St. Mark as “Stockport South West” parish. For later records, see also Stockport St. Saviour. St. Gabriel's Mission Church in Adswood was opened in 1936. A mission hall was built in Hempshaw Lane in 1907.
